IEK North Rift Committee Visits Uasin Gishu County Governor
The IEK North Rift Branch Committee paid a courtesy call on the Uasin Gishu County Governor H.E Hon. Gov. Jonathan Chelilim Bii today 21st February, and among other things congratulated him for his election into office, and for including engineers in his top governance structure comprising 3 County Executive Committee members and the Deputy Governor H.E John Barorot. The IEK North Rift presented an the official invite from the IEK President Eng. Erick Ohaga to grace the upcoming World Engineers Day celebrations on 4th March 2023 in Eldoret.
The governor has promised to participate with the engineers in the planting of trees to commemorate the day and walk the procession on the celebration. The governor invited IEK to form partnerships with county in the Citification journey for Eldoret as well as with the review of county master plan. He also suggested engagement with county engineers for capacity building going forward and more networks in county infrastructural discussions and decisions.
